Kitchenette Pajamas

Is this not the cutest thing?

Kitchenette Pajamas from Decades of Style.
How comfy it would be done up in a stable cotton knit to wear while watching that last episode of Law & Order sipping a cup of caffeine-free, sugar-free cafe suisse mocha before bed! I have been working with my inner brat (the one that wants to stay up late to watch true-life murder movies on Lifetime) to establish a bedtime routine to help us get to bed on time and she would love this outfit so much she'd be thrilled to climb into it all cleansed, toned and moisturized and ready for beddy-bye by 9:00 p.m. That'd give us a whole hour to lounge before lights out. I think my sweet little inner child needs this pattern. Maybe I will buy it for her if she doesn't buy fast food and goes to bed on time for a week.

Yeah, yeah, do it! Make the jammies! And while you're at it, you can make a pair for your bratty little seestor! :-)

Crafty Stirrings

My sewing stuff has been packed up for quite awhile and I miss it! It was packed up to make room for a season of extended visits by family which we have truly enjoyed so it was a worthy trade-off. Family visits will be done in a few weeks and in the meantime we decided that we'll be moving into a different house a few weeks later, so my sewing and craft things (other than sewing-related stuff I have just a few jewelry-making and scrap-booking supplies) will remain packed until it's arranged in our new abode. Focusing on family and transition decisions has taken up my mental space so it's just now, as I begin creating the vision of our next home I'm looking forward to having a sewing space again.

Cozy Purple Pop of Color

Cozy purple throws for snuggling!  Adds some color  to the living room.  Thick fleece trimmed straight with rounded corners.  I tried some overcast stitches with my Juki however I couldn't get the look I wanted so I pulled out my serger. Gosh it's been, like 2 years since I used it but luckily it worked (I've had it for quite awhile but I'm still kinda afraid of it 😜).
