MoB Blouse, Shoes

Well, I tried on that pink blouse at Avenue, and it didn't work. It wasn't too bad, but not good enough for this Mother of the Bride. So I'm going to order some lavender brussels washer fabric to coordinate with some lovely lavender chiffon that was first purchased to decorate the chuppa at my sister's wedding. Then we used it to swag over the alter at my oldest daughter's wedding. Now I'll use part of it in my dress at my younger daughter's wedding. I'm also going to make Sonnie a matching dress! Won't that be cute!

I did order those shoes, though. I really like the way they look on the web--soon we'll see how they look (and feel) on me.

Cozy Purple Pop of Color

Cozy purple throws for snuggling!  Adds some color  to the living room.  Thick fleece trimmed straight with rounded corners.  I tried some overcast stitches with my Juki however I couldn't get the look I wanted so I pulled out my serger. Gosh it's been, like 2 years since I used it but luckily it worked (I've had it for quite awhile but I'm still kinda afraid of it 😜).

Crafty Stirrings

My sewing stuff has been packed up for quite awhile and I miss it! It was packed up to make room for a season of extended visits by family which we have truly enjoyed so it was a worthy trade-off. Family visits will be done in a few weeks and in the meantime we decided that we'll be moving into a different house a few weeks later, so my sewing and craft things (other than sewing-related stuff I have just a few jewelry-making and scrap-booking supplies) will remain packed until it's arranged in our new abode. Focusing on family and transition decisions has taken up my mental space so it's just now, as I begin creating the vision of our next home I'm looking forward to having a sewing space again.
