Home & Garden Television: Curb Appeal

DH is installing a garage door today for Home & Garden Television: Curb Appeal. So exciting! I checked the details on individual shows and there's a 'Resources' listing that lists who did what work, along with their phone #, website address, etc. I hope there's enough of a lag time before the show airs that I can finish his website.

I wanted to take the day off work to go with him and take pictures and make sure the right people had the right information, etc. (basically I wanted to run the whole thing and act as publicist for Analy Door Systems). But it happened so fast...I didn't get a chance. Instead I left the house mad that we didn't have company shirts to show off the business name (he said he was going to get them but didn't--I couldn't 'cause I had wedding stuff to do), then got a flat tire on the way to work, cell phone battery dead, used all my change on pay phones so none left for parking meter 'cause employee's parking lot was full. Ended up on third floor of parking garage. I know there's a bright side, but I don't feel like looking at it.

Oh wait...here's a bright side: The bridesmaid dresses are finished. Still gotta attach the facing on the MoB suit, then press it.

Crafty Stirrings

My sewing stuff has been packed up for quite awhile and I miss it! It was packed up to make room for a season of extended visits by family which we have truly enjoyed so it was a worthy trade-off. Family visits will be done in a few weeks and in the meantime we decided that we'll be moving into a different house a few weeks later, so my sewing and craft things (other than sewing-related stuff I have just a few jewelry-making and scrap-booking supplies) will remain packed until it's arranged in our new abode. Focusing on family and transition decisions has taken up my mental space so it's just now, as I begin creating the vision of our next home I'm looking forward to having a sewing space again.

You Were Born in California and Have Never Been to Yosemite?

Until 2 days ago, I would have had to answer, "Nope, never been there." But now I can proudly say, "I have been to Yosemite. I have seen the highest waterfall in the United States, El Capitan, and Half Dome." We joined my brother Bobby and sister-in-law Dee Dee, along with nephew Jeremy, neice Sierra and her hubby Josiah and their little girls Havilah and Gigi for a whirlwind of a weekend that managed to be both exciting and relaxing. On Saturday Bobby & Dee Dee took us on a one-day tour of Yosemite (more pics in the Gallery ). The scenery was tremendous. If there's this much natural beauty just 4 hours from where I live, what wonders must heaven hold? I really enjoyed seeing the families from all over the world. Saturday night Darren & I saw the Eagles at Calaveras County fairgrounds. Great concert. Sunday we kicked back. We did not get enough of Yosemite though and may return this winter.
